Ineke Malsch • mrt 23, 2022

During ANSOLE's online A2IOC on 4 February 2022, opportunities for research cooperation were discussed

I contributed to discussions of opportunities for international cooperation during the celebration of the 11th anniversary of the African Network for Solar Energy with this presentation. The event was organised in partnership with Riga Photonics Centre, Latvia, and hosted by Université Mohammed V Rabat, Morocco and Zewail City of Science and Technology, Gizeh, Cairo, Egypt. Presentations discussed the research priorities and infrastructure of several countries and laboratories, research results and plans for large scale initiatives to electrify Africa and produce green hydrogen, etc. Funding opportunities were also presented.

Daniel Egbe, ANSOLE’s coordinator presented the achievements and activities of the network in the eleven years of its existence, and acknowledged the support by the municipality of Utrecht (Utrecht4GlobalGoals) to a Sur Place Grant for 1 year for a PhD-student in renewables in Ghana.
