ANSOLE Energy Compact Registered

Ineke Malsch • 1 september 2022

The United Nations formally registered the African Network for Solar Energy's strategy

The SDG 7 Energy Compact of African Network for Solar Energy (ANSOLE) comprises the following. ANSOLE commits to accelerating the adoption and development of Renewable Energy (RE) solutions for Africa through several means. First, ANSOLE will engage in training specialists to deploy RE in access-deficit communities. ANSOLE will develop research & innovation capacities through fellowships, staff exchanges, scientific events and publications. In addition, ANSOLE will foster pan-African cooperation of academic, civil society, religious and cultural groups. The network will finally create a match-making platform to share research infrastructures in Africa with cooperating institutions elsewhere effectively. Find out more here and register for ANSOLE's session during the Science Summit of the UN General Assemble (SSUNGA77), on 21 September in New York and online, to discuss cooperation opportunities.
